ART PRINTS ON CANVAS
CANVAS TRANSFER is a process whereby the image on the poster or print is chemically removed from the paper then embedded onto a piece of canvas. This is then stretched onto stretcher bars as you would an original painting. The surface is sealed with a laminate coating and is completely washable with a damp rag. The texture of the canvas is clearly visible through the print. This gives the image the appearance of an original painting. Canvas transferring is becoming a more popular method of displaying posters and prints. This process removes the need for glass and matting, keeping the size and cost low. Price based on the square inch of the actual 'image' transferred.
ART PRINTS ON CANVAS WITH BRUSHSTROKES
Take your print up an notch by adding brush strokes once it has been transferred to canvas and people will ask, “Who painted that?”
This process is achieved by applying a clear gel to the surface of the canvas and replicating the broad strokes of the original artwork. Some canvases need only light touches, whereas others require heavy applications or multiple styles (brush, sponge, palette knife). Every brushed stroked piece is done by hand by a qualified craftsman who gets a ‘feel’ for the piece before he begins. No two pieces are alike. Price is based on the square inch of the overall canvas.
ART PRINTS-TRADITIONAL FRAMING
TRADITIONAL FRAMINGincludes matting, glass and a frame. Prices will vary depending on the size and number of mats use, choice of glass quality and the actual frame moulding chosen.
ART PRINTS AS PLAQUE-MOUNTING
PLAQUE-MOUNTING,also known as block mounting or edge mounting, is a process whereby the poster or print is permanently attached to a block of MDF (medium density fiberboard) and the image sealed with a laminate coating.
This surface is protects the print and is completely washable with a damp rag. A slot in the back of the board allows the piece to hang flush on the wall, and the beveled edges are available in a variety of colors to coordinate with the image.
Plaque-mounting is the most economical method of permanent protection of your artwork. Pricing is determined by the square inch of the finished piece (or image size).
